Job Purpose

This role involves conducting online English classes for underprivileged children in Kolkata, India, as part of Ann Foundation's literacy program. Responsibilities

Conduct online English classes for underprivileged children in Kolkata, West Bengal, for two hours per week (one hour per day, over two consecutive days). Sessions are scheduled between 4:00 PM and 8:00 PM IST, utilizing platforms like Zoom or Google Meet. Volunteers will be provided with an orientation and access to the existing curriculum. A key requirement is proficiency in spoken Bengali, as applications from non-Bengali speakers will not be considered. The role also necessitates the submission of a complete CV/resume. Volunteers are expected to help children develop their English skills and support their overall learning journey.

Work Experience

Some background in teaching is desirable but not strictly necessary. The primary experience requirement is proficiency in spoken Bengali and English. Volunteers should be able to communicate fluently in both languages to effectively engage with the children and deliver the lessons.
