Job Purpose
This role supports UNHCR India's Post Distribution Monitoring (PDM) exercise by analyzing data from food and cash assistance programs. The objective is to assess the effectiveness, relevance, and utilization of aid, ensuring it reaches intended recipients and is delivered with dignity. The volunteer will process and analyze PDM data, identify key trends, and prepare a concise, evidence-based report with findings and recommendations. This contribution will enhance assistance delivery, improve program implementation, and strengthen accountability to affected populations, aligning with SDGs 1, 2, 10, and 16.
Responsibilities
The Online Volunteer will support UNHCR India's Post Distribution Monitoring (PDM) by analyzing and reporting on collected data. Key duties include reviewing, cleaning, and organizing the PDM dataset; performing quantitative data analysis using appropriate statistical methods, including disaggregation; identifying key trends, patterns, and gaps; and creating data visualizations. The role also involves synthesizing qualitative responses where applicable, interpreting findings against PDM objectives, and drafting the PDM report with methodology, findings, analysis, conclusions, and recommendations. The volunteer will revise the report based on feedback and may assist in preparing summaries for communication. Deliverables include a cleaned dataset, analytical tables/visualizations, a findings summary, and the final PDM report.
Work Experience
Demonstrated experience in quantitative data analysis, preferably with survey, monitoring, or program data. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and at least one data analysis/visualization tool (e.g., Power BI, R, Python, SPSS, Stata). Experience in data cleaning, descriptive statistical analysis, disaggregation, and visualization is required. Strong report-writing and editing skills are essential. Experience in humanitarian or development programming, PDM, or M&E is advantageous.

Strong analytical skills for translating datasets into actionable insights. Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and incorporate feedback. Fluency in English is required; Hindi is also required.
