Job Purpose
This role supports the joint development of a structured knowledge management model for ABC and AMEXCID. The volunteer will participate in benchmarking meetings, produce comparative synthesis reports, identify best practices, and extract applicable recommendations. Key contributions include designing knowledge capture, storage, sharing, and utilization processes, developing required tools, defining roles and responsibilities, establishing inter-agency coordination mechanisms, and compiling structured knowledge, best practices, and lessons learned. The assignment also involves creating a protocol for using South-South cooperation project evaluations and supporting the pilot implementation, documenting adjustments and lessons learned.
Responsibilities
The volunteer will participate in regular meetings with ABC and AMEXCID throughout the assignment. Key responsibilities include conducting benchmarking, preparing comparative synthesis reports, and identifying best practices with applicable recommendations. The role involves supporting the collaborative design of a knowledge management model, encompassing the development of processes for knowledge capture, storage, exchange, and utilization at intra- and inter-agency levels. This includes designing necessary tools, defining roles and responsibilities, establishing inter-agency coordination, and structuring knowledge, best practices, and lessons learned. Additionally, the volunteer will create a protocol for utilizing South-South cooperation project evaluations for institutional learning and support the pilot implementation, documenting improvements and lessons learned. The role also includes systematizing a final project report on Knowledge Management in South-South Cooperation.
Work Experience
Required experience includes fundamental expertise in planning and implementing South-South cooperation programs and knowledge management systems. This encompasses knowledge mapping, institutional diagnostics, developing processes, protocols, and guides, and capturing, systematizing, and disseminating experiences, lessons learned, and best practices. Desirable experience includes project management, public administration, process management, organizational learning, and knowledge networks.
Skills
Required skills include experience in planning and implementing South-South cooperation programs and knowledge management systems, knowledge mapping, institutional diagnostics, process and protocol development, and capturing/disseminating lessons learned and best practices. Desirable skills include project management, public administration, process management, organizational learning, knowledge networks, and proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and process modeling tools. Fluency in Spanish is required, and basic Portuguese is desirable.
