Organizational Context

The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) supports developing countries with advice and advocacy for aid. The Sustainable Agriculture Support Project (PAAD) in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), funded by CAFI and FONAREDD, aims to combat food insecurity and deforestation. Implemented with UNDP support and state agencies, PAAD is enhancing its institutional visibility and visual identity through a new communication strategy.

Job Purpose

The Sustainable Agriculture Support Project (PAAD) in the DRC seeks a talented Online Volunteer to design a professional email signature banner for Outlook. This banner will be used by all project personnel, including the coordination team and implementing agencies. The objective is to strengthen the project's institutional visibility and harmonize the visual identity across all collaborators. The design should reflect the project's themes of sustainable agriculture, seeds, forests, and development, while adhering to UN branding standards and ensuring responsiveness across devices.

Responsibilities

The Online Volunteer will collaborate with the PAAD Communication Specialist to design an attractive, professional email signature banner for Outlook, aligned with UN institutional standards. The design must harmoniously integrate graphic elements related to sustainable agriculture, seeds, forests, the DRC, and development. Strict adherence to co-branding rules is required, incorporating the official logos of the DRC Coat of Arms, CAFI, FONAREDD, and UNDP, with a space for implementing agency logos. The banner should be lightweight for web and email use, and responsive for optimal viewing on both desktop and mobile devices. Three design options may be proposed for project selection and potential amendments.

Work Experience

Proven experience in graphic design, visual identity creation, or digital communication materials is required. Proficiency in graphic design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign is essential. Understanding technical constraints for email image integration (file size, resolution, standard dimensions) and the ability to adhere to strict institutional graphic guidelines are necessary.
