Job Purpose

This role provides specialized support to UNICEF Nigeria's business process automation and digital initiatives. The objective is to accelerate the deployment of automation solutions and build basic staff capacity by leveraging existing Microsoft platforms. The position will contribute to enhancing operational efficiency and digital transformation within the UNICEF Nigeria office, ensuring that technological solutions effectively support the organization's mandate and program delivery.

Responsibilities

The UN Volunteer will report to the ICT Manager and undertake several key tasks. Approximately 70% of the role involves Business Process Automation, including designing and deploying automated workflows using Power Automate, SharePoint, and Microsoft Forms, as well as supporting existing solutions like the Transparency App. Around 20% will be dedicated to Data Engineering Support, managing databases, data collection tools, ETL operations, and Power BI datasets and dashboards. The remaining 10% focuses on Cloud Computing Support, assisting with tasks in Azure and AWS environments under guidance. Additionally, the role includes Capacity Building, providing hands-on guidance and demonstrations to staff on simple automation processes.

Work Experience

A minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience is required. This includes mandatory practical experience with Power Automate, Power Apps, and SharePoint, and experience in business process automation using Microsoft low-code tools. Exposure to data engineering with Power BI, SQL, Azure, or Fabric is also expected. Experience working within the UN or other international development organizations is desirable.
