Job Purpose
This role supports the UNAIDS Benin country office's communication and advocacy efforts for the "Ending New HIV Infections in Children in Benin" campaign. The volunteer will enhance the campaign's visibility across social media platforms, including Viva Engage, SNU Bulletins, X, Facebook, and Instagram. The assignment aims to leverage the campaign's decentralized phase, engaging political, religious, community, and traditional leaders to mobilize public opinion and extend awareness within communities. The contribution is crucial for amplifying the campaign's reach and impact in addressing the critical issue of pediatric HIV in Benin.
Responsibilities
The Online Volunteer will support the UNAIDS Benin country team in communication and advocacy activities. Key responsibilities include contributing to the visibility of the "Ending New HIV Infections in Children in Benin" campaign through social media channels such as Viva Engage, SNU Bulletins, X, Facebook, and Instagram. This involves creating and disseminating engaging content to raise public awareness and mobilize support for the campaign's objectives. The volunteer will work under the guidance of the country team to ensure consistent messaging and effective outreach across various online platforms, thereby amplifying the campaign's reach and impact.
Work Experience
The candidate must have prior experience in communication, journalism, or a similar field. Additionally, experience in social mobilization or working directly with community organizations and grassroots communities is required to effectively support the campaign's outreach efforts.
