Job Purpose

This assignment supports the UNITAR Division for Prosperity's development of training programs for individuals in international cooperation. The primary purpose is to conduct research on current recruitment and human resource trends within this field. The research will involve gathering data from official databases and organizational websites to analyze recent trends in required skills, qualifications, and competencies. The findings will play a crucial role in strengthening the impact of UNITAR's programs by contributing to evidence-based project planning and implementation, ensuring that training initiatives are relevant and effective in meeting the evolving needs of the international cooperation sector.

Responsibilities

The Online Volunteer will support research into current recruitment and human resource trends in international cooperation. This involves utilizing official databases, organizational websites, and other reliable sources to gather and analyze recent trends. The volunteer will focus on identifying the skills, qualifications, and competencies most in demand within the field. A key responsibility is to individually produce a 1-2 page report in English summarizing the research findings. If any raw data is collected in a language other than English, the volunteer must provide a translated summary of that data. This research will contribute to evidence-based project planning and enhance the impact of UNITAR's training programs.

Work Experience

Experience in academic or applied research involving data collection, analysis, and reporting is desirable. Candidates with a Bachelor's degree must possess at least three years of relevant professional experience in statistical analysis, data management, or related fields. An advanced university degree (Master's or equivalent) is the primary educational requirement.

Skills

Proficiency in research and data analysis is essential. The ability to write clear and concise reports in English is required. Familiarity with utilizing official databases and organizational websites for data gathering is necessary. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail are important for analyzing trends in recruitment and human resources within international cooperation.
