Organizational Context
The United Nations Volunteers (UNV) in Colombia works to advance peace, reconciliation, and human development by mobilizing knowledge, experience, and resources. UNDP, the host entity, fosters strategic partnerships to strengthen democratic governance, eradicate poverty, protect biodiversity, and respond to crises. The project "Strengthening the Socio-Economic Reincorporation Route" aims to integrate individuals in the reincorporation process and their communities, promoting reconciliation, social inclusion, and economic sustainability.
Job Purpose
This role supports the "Strengthening the Socio-Economic Reincorporation Route" project, specifically component (vii) which focuses on community processes to enhance the autonomy of peace signatories. The project aims to foster 10 social and community initiatives by reincorporation collectives by 2026, contributing to peacebuilding and the Integral Reincorporation Program through the "Fomento" Strategy. The "Fomento" Strategy promotes community-focused initiatives in social, community, political, and economic areas to strengthen reincorporation and reconciliation. The Psychosocial Associate will provide technical, methodological, and logistical support for the formulation, implementation, and monitoring of these initiatives.
Responsibilities
The Psychosocial Associate will provide technical and psychosocial support to organizations receiving low-value grants. This includes assisting in the formulation and management of grant documents, providing guidance on filling out forms, reports, and deliverables, and conducting follow-up visits to monitor activity progress. The role involves participating in working groups, meetings, and committees for monitoring and reporting on advancements. Additionally, the Associate will support the technical and administrative team in actions necessary to ensure the fulfillment of project objectives, results, and commitments.
Work Experience
A minimum of 1 month of required experience and 2 years of relevant experience is needed. This includes community management, organizational strengthening, and support for populations in contexts of armed conflict, human mobility, and social vulnerability. Experience in development processes with a differential and human rights approach, building alliances with public, private, and international cooperation actors, and facilitating participatory spaces is also required. Experience with international organizations like IRC, HI, or Project HOPE is desirable.
Skills

The role requires strong communication skills (written and verbal), project management, results-based management, and knowledge generation. Expertise in community development, project management, program development, strategy, humanitarian affairs, protection, conflict prevention, peacebuilding, and institutional strengthening is essential.
