Job Purpose
The UNV People & Culture Associate will provide essential administrative, procedural, and operational support to the Human Resources functions within UNICEF, with a specific focus on learning and development. This role is designed to ensure the efficient and accurate implementation of HR activities, adhering strictly to UNICEF's rules and regulations. The assignment aims to foster a young workforce and enhance their capabilities, enabling them to contribute effectively to achieving results for children in their areas of interest, under the guidance of the Senior People & Culture Associate.
Responsibilities
The People & Culture Associate will support learning and capacity development by assisting in the design and scheduling of online learning events, organizing workshops, and preparing materials. Responsibilities include processing training contracts, coordinating learning activities for various personnel, and creating promotional materials. The role also involves supporting data analytics and knowledge management by compiling and analyzing staff data for learning trend reports, contributing to data collection systems, and updating HR-related SharePoint pages. Budget management support includes monitoring the P&C budget and providing updates for informed decision-making. Additional tasks include assisting with UNV recruitment tracking, preparing onboarding packages, developing communication materials, and updating the buddy system for new hires.
Work Experience
A minimum of three years of professional work experience in Human Resources at the national or international level is required. Experience within the UN or other international development organizations is desirable. Proficiency in data analysis, strong oral and written communication skills, and excellent interpersonal abilities are essential. Familiarity with MS Office applications, database management, and office technology is expected. Self-motivation, the ability to work with minimal supervision, and a commitment to meeting tight deadlines are also important.
