Job Purpose

This role supports UNFPA Syria by developing interactive knowledge management tools and improving program component summaries. The objective is to enhance data flow, enable program teams to effectively monitor key indicators, and improve data visualization. The volunteer's contribution will directly support evidence-based decision-making across various program interventions, focusing on reproductive health, gender, GBV, youth, and population and development. The assignment aims to strengthen the program's ability to track progress and communicate impact effectively in a challenging operating environment.

Responsibilities

Under the guidance of the Assistant Representative and in coordination with the program team, the volunteer will prepare four summaries of program components, specifically focusing on Reproductive Health (RH), Gender/Gender-Based Violence (GBV), Youth, and Population & Development. Additionally, the volunteer will consult with the supervisor to recommend clearer pathways for enhancing data flow, resulting in the development of a defined pathway. These tasks are crucial for improving knowledge management and supporting evidence-based decision-making within UNFPA Syria's operations.

Work Experience

While a university degree is a prerequisite, the role also requires practical experience with tools such as Excel, Power BI, and AI-powered applications. Proficiency in reporting is also a key aspect of the desired professional background for this assignment.

Skills

Required skills include proficiency in Excel, Power BI, and AI-powered tools. Strong reporting capabilities are essential. Fluency in both English and Arabic is mandatory for effective communication and task completion. The role also values individuals who embody principled and ethical conduct.
