Job Purpose
The Reports Officer will support UNICEF's Partnerships Unit in developing high-quality donor proposals and reports, ensuring adherence to UNICEF standards and donor requirements. This role involves coordinating with various sections and field offices to gather information, edit content, and manage reporting deadlines. The officer will also contribute to resource mobilization strategies and develop communication materials to showcase program results. A key aspect is leading grant kick-off processes and establishing effective data analysis and tracking mechanisms to support evidence-based program management and decision-making, ultimately strengthening donor confidence and program impact.
Responsibilities
Develop high-quality concept notes, funding proposals, and reports by standardizing content, ensuring donor compliance, and coordinating with program sections, the Partnerships Unit, Communications, and field offices. Provide quality assurance, editing, and layout for all reports, including donor, thematic, and emergency reports, ensuring branding requirements are met. Maintain and update donor reporting requirements, providing regular updates and follow-ups to ensure timely submission. Manage a centralized filing system for proposals and reports using SharePoint and OneDrive, tracking deadlines and grant information. Offer technical support and capacity building to staff and partners on reporting tools and formats. Contribute to resource mobilization strategies and support narrative and budget reporting. Lead grant kick-off processes in collaboration with relevant teams, identifying communication needs and opportunities for visibility. Develop tools, dashboards, and reporting mechanisms for data collection, analysis, and presentation of results to support program implementation and performance monitoring, ensuring accurate information flow and indicator tracking.
Work Experience
A minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience is required, with 5 years being desirable. Experience in humanitarian, emergency, or public-health-emergency settings is essential. Proficiency in MS Office applications, database management, and strong computer literacy are necessary. Experience in drafting, formulation, and reporting, along with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, is crucial. Ability to work effectively in challenging, multicultural environments and a genuine commitment to child rights and volunteerism are also important.
