Job Purpose
This role supports UNFPA Türkiye in developing a knowledge product on the potential use of Social Impact Bonds (SIBs). The Online Volunteer will conduct research using publicly available online sources to inform a white paper. The assignment aims to explore how SIBs can be applied within UNFPA's mandate in Türkiye, identify potential partners and investors, and develop a concept note and action plan for securing partnerships. The volunteer will contribute to advancing innovative financing mechanisms for UNFPA's programmatic goals.
Responsibilities
The primary responsibility is to research and develop a knowledge product on Social Impact Bonds (SIBs) for UNFPA Türkiye. This includes conducting research relevant to the Turkish context on SIBs within UNFPA's mandate, identifying key potential partners and investors in Türkiye, and producing a white paper detailing the possible use of SIBs. Additionally, the volunteer will create a concept note and a suggested action plan for securing partnerships for SIBs in Türkiye. Regular weekly discussions with the Resource Mobilization and Partnerships Analyst are expected, with product deliveries every Friday. The timeline includes submitting a white paper outline in week 1, a draft in week 2, a revised draft in week 3, and finalizing the implementation plan and annexes in week 4.
Work Experience
While specific years of experience are not mandated, candidates should demonstrate experience in making proposals and pitches to corporate clients. An interest in the field of finance and partnership building is also required.
