Job Purpose

This role supports the IVY 2026 Secretariat in Latin America and the Caribbean by monitoring social media presence, reach, and conversations related to the International Year of Volunteers. The objective is to identify interaction opportunities, relevant trends, and best practices in digital communication. The volunteer will analyze and systematize social media information, producing regular reports to enhance the IVY 2026 communication strategy in the region. This online assignment is crucial for understanding and amplifying the impact of volunteerism for sustainable development.

Responsibilities

The volunteer will support the IVY 2026 Secretariat by tracking and analyzing social media mentions related to the International Year of Volunteers for Sustainable Development (IVY 2026). Key duties include performing weekly tracking of the #IVY2026 hashtag on platforms like LinkedIn or Instagram. The volunteer will meticulously record data in an Excel or Google Sheets format, documenting publication dates, authors/institutions, content type, country, links, social media platform, and a summary of key content. This systematic approach contributes to understanding regional trends, reach, and key interactions, thereby strengthening the IVY 2026 communication efforts.

Work Experience

Required experience includes a demonstrated knowledge or practical experience in social media monitoring. Additionally, the ability to systematically organize and present information using tools like Excel or Google Sheets is essential for this role.
