This assignment specifically supports UNODC's Programme for Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice (PCCP) in Türkiye, focusing on enhancing its internal data systems and training infrastructure. Job Purpose

This assignment seeks to strengthen UNODC PCCP's internal data systems and training infrastructure through dedicated research, analysis, and documentation. The volunteer will contribute to improving evidence-based decision-making, enhancing operational efficiency, and supporting better data governance and digital transformation. The role involves conducting a needs assessment for an IT platform, reviewing existing training materials, identifying system gaps, and analyzing technical requirements. The ultimate goal is to provide high-level recommendations for system improvements, thereby enhancing PCCP's capacity-building functions and overall effectiveness in its mission.

Responsibilities

The Online Volunteers will support UNODC PCCP in enhancing its training and data management systems through research, analysis, and documentation. Key responsibilities include conducting a desk-based needs assessment for a potential IT platform to support training and capacity-building functions. This involves reviewing existing materials on training curricula, planning, evaluation, and expert management to identify gaps and requirements. Volunteers will also support the analysis of technical and functional requirements, considering interoperability with UNODC systems. Based on the desk review, they will develop high-level recommendations for system improvements. Deliverables include a needs assessment document and a report with recommendations for an IT platform solution.

Work Experience

Experience or an academic background in research, data analysis, or systems analysis is required. Familiarity with data management, digital systems, or IT solutions is considered an asset. Strong analytical and writing skills, with meticulous attention to detail, are essential for synthesizing information and producing structured reports.
