Job Purpose

UNV India seeks Online Volunteers to develop its quarterly newsletter, highlighting the impact of UN Volunteers and UNV-supported initiatives across India. The role involves curating, writing, and designing engaging content, collaborating with UNV colleagues to gather stories, updates, and visuals. The volunteer will receive guidance and feedback to ensure the newsletter's quality and consistency, contributing to UNV's communication efforts and showcasing the value of volunteerism in India. This assignment aims to produce one professionally designed quarterly newsletter.

Responsibilities

The Online Volunteer will curate, write, and edit engaging content for the quarterly newsletter, gathering stories, updates, and achievements from UN Volunteers. Responsibilities include designing and formatting the newsletter using appropriate tools, ensuring alignment with UNV branding and communication guidelines. The volunteer will coordinate with UNV colleagues to collect necessary content, photographs, and supporting materials. Additionally, the role involves revising the newsletter based on feedback to ensure quality, accuracy, and consistency. The expected output is one professionally designed quarterly newsletter, with all intellectual property belonging to UNV.

Work Experience

Required experience includes excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a strong command of the English language. Candidates should possess strong content writing and editing abilities for newsletters and communication materials. Proficiency in design tools like Canva for creating newsletters and communication materials is also required. Willingness to adapt content and design to UNV branding guidelines is essential.
