Job Purpose
This UNV assignment is integral to UNFPA Tunisia's communication strategy, focusing on transforming strategic proposals into clear, accessible visual content. The role aims to build creative narratives around population dynamics and human rights, ensuring that both the community and decision-makers are well-informed and engaged. By producing compelling audiovisual and graphic materials, the volunteer will support UNFPA's mandate of ensuring every pregnancy is wanted, every childbirth is safe, and every young person's potential is fulfilled. This position contributes to enhancing UNFPA's visibility and impact in Tunisia, particularly in areas of sexual and reproductive health, gender-based violence prevention, and youth empowerment.
Responsibilities
The UN Volunteer will support audiovisual production by capturing photos, videos, and audio during events and field missions, assisting with filming and photo sessions, and editing content for digital platforms and campaigns. They will also contribute to graphic design and visual communication by creating printed and digital materials like posters and brochures, designing visuals for social media and awareness campaigns, and developing simple animations or infographics to enhance audience engagement, ensuring adherence to UNFPA branding. Furthermore, the volunteer will assist in managing communication resources by organizing, classifying, and archiving multimedia assets and updating digital content libraries. Finally, they will support institutional communication activities by contributing to media coverage of events, assisting in content dissemination, and identifying and promoting impactful stories and best practices.
Work Experience
A minimum of one month of professional experience is required. This should include proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and video editing software like Premiere Pro. Experience with After Effects for motion design is considered a strong asset. Candidates must submit a portfolio or video showreel.
