Job Purpose

Responsibilities
Under the supervision of the UNICEF-Mindanao Field Office Communication Officer, the Communication and Reports Officer will undertake key functions including assisting in the development and execution of advocacy and communication strategies to champion children's and women's rights. Responsibilities encompass writing and editing diverse content such as human interest stories, press releases, articles, and scripts. The role also involves creating and designing engaging content for social media platforms, like factographs and infographics. Furthermore, the officer will provide communication support for events, launches, and campaigns, and assist in preparing high-quality donor reports and proposals. Adapting multimedia assets from UNICEF's global and regional offices for the local context is also a significant duty.
Work Experience
A minimum of three years of professional experience in communication, print and broadcast media, digital media, or a related field is required. Experience in emergency programming, including preparedness and accountability to affected populations, is desirable. Proficiency in producing content for various media formats, excellent writing and reporting skills, and strong computer literacy, including design software like Canva or Adobe Creative Cloud, are essential. Experience working in a multicultural team and adapting to challenging environments is also important.
