Job Purpose
This role supports the development of e-learning courses and micro-courses for the OCHA learning platform, targeting OCHA personnel globally. The Online Volunteer will collaborate with the Learning and Development team and functional units to transform existing internal content, such as training materials, presentations, and recordings, into engaging digital learning modules. The objective is to enhance knowledge sharing and professional development across OCHA, covering critical areas like International Humanitarian Law, Humanitarian Access, Negotiation, Communication, Induction, Administration, and Finance.
Responsibilities
The Online Volunteer will review theme-specific content provided by the Learning and Development team, including presentations, recordings, guidance documents, and training materials. Based on this review, the volunteer will develop 1-2 short courses or micro-courses using Articulate authoring tools (Rise, Storyline), creating SCORM packages as required. Additionally, the volunteer will assist in uploading and testing these developed contents on the OCHA Moodle-based platform. Collaboration with the LDU team for guidance and support is expected, with tasks divided equally among volunteers.
Work Experience
Required experience includes a working knowledge of Articulate 360 and experience with Instructional Design. Familiarity with the Moodle platform is also necessary. Experience with graphic design is considered desirable, as is a good understanding of humanitarian-related topics.
Skills
Key skills include proficiency in Articulate 360 (Rise, Storyline), Instructional Design, and familiarity with the Moodle platform. Excellent English language proficiency and attention to detail are essential. Desirable skills include graphic design and a foundational understanding of humanitarian topics.
