Organizational Context
The World Health Organization (WHO) is a specialized agency of the United Nations focused on public health. Established in 1948, its objective is to ensure the highest possible level of health for all people. WHO achieves this through leadership in health issues, setting research priorities, establishing standards, developing evidence-based policies, providing technical support, and monitoring health trends. This campaign in the Republic of Congo aligns with national efforts against non-communicable diseases and contributes to SDG 3.
Job Purpose
This public health awareness campaign, "28-Day Challenge to Quit Smoking," aims to encourage smoking cessation and promote healthy behaviors in the Republic of Congo. It mobilizes online volunteers, specifically Congolese nationals, to disseminate messages for 28 days. These messages will focus on tobacco's harmful effects, the benefits of quitting, and available resources for smokers. The initiative seeks to raise awareness about tobacco risks, reach a broad audience via social media, and foster community engagement, particularly among youth, in promoting healthy lifestyles. The campaign targets 2-3 million people digitally.

Daily Performance Reporting: Track publication reach (views, people reached, shares, comments) and report this information daily using the provided tracking tool. Submit a concise daily report and flag any technical difficulties or publication-related questions. 3. Communication Guidelines Adherence: Strictly disseminate only validated content, without altering visuals, slogans, or messages. Maintain respectful communication aligned with public health values and escalate sensitive interactions to the coordination team. Availability for calls via GoogleMeet/Zoom/Microsoft Teams/WhatsApp is required.
