Job Purpose
The National UN Youth Volunteer will support the UNIDO team in Tunisia to enhance the coordination and delivery of UNIDO's industrial development activities. This role involves strengthening project monitoring, reporting, and data management for various projects aligned with national strategies and SDG 9. The volunteer will contribute to the monitoring of the Country Partnership Programme (PCP) by assisting with data collection, coordination, documentation, and dissemination of results. This assignment is part of an initiative supported by the Swiss Embassy in Tunisia to enhance youth inclusion, with a specific focus on young people with disabilities.
Responsibilities
The UN Volunteer will support UNIDO's project monitoring, reporting, and data management for industrial development projects. Key duties include collecting, compiling, and organizing project data; updating monitoring tools like dashboards and databases; tracking activity progress against work plans; and gathering information from partners. The role involves consolidating and verifying data, preparing visual materials for project results, and assisting in identifying trends or gaps. The volunteer will also support the use of digital tools for project management, contribute to reporting and knowledge management by preparing documents and documenting best practices, and assist in coordinating with project teams and partners. Additionally, the role may involve supporting the logistical organization of meetings and events, preparing minutes, and participating in field visits for monitoring purposes.
Work Experience
A minimum of one month of required experience is noted, with one year of relevant experience being desirable. The role is suitable for individuals with one year or less of professional experience, or a Master's degree with no prior professional experience. Essential skills include office administration, logistics coordination, and basic communication and information management, including proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.
