In the Central African Republic, the UNV Administration Officer will support the WFP administration unit, focusing on global analysis, reporting, and internal controls, while driving digitalization and process automation for enhanced efficiency and visibility.
Job Purpose
The UNV Management Service Officer will support the WFP administration unit in the Central African Republic under the general guidance of the Head of Unit. The role focuses on the analysis, reporting, and implementation of internal controls, with a strong emphasis on digitizing and automating processes to improve efficiency and visibility. This position is crucial for ensuring the smooth and effective operation of the administration unit, contributing to WFP's broader mission of fighting hunger and achieving Zero Hunger by ensuring resources are managed effectively and operations are streamlined.
Responsibilities
The UNV Management Service Officer will be responsible for strategic planning and resource management, including contributing to fuel component planning within Country Strategic Plans, developing consumption forecasts, and participating in fuel budget preparation and monitoring. The role involves managing operations and inventory by ensuring continuous fuel availability, supervising procurement, storage, distribution, and control, and defining stock thresholds. The officer will also be responsible for monitoring, analysis, and reporting, collecting and analyzing fuel consumption data, and producing regular analytical reports. Standardization of processes and compliance, including implementing and ensuring adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for fuel management and organizational policies, is key. Additionally, the role includes ensuring compliance with Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) standards for fuel management, implementing risk prevention measures, and conducting regular facility inspections. The position also encompasses digitalization and innovation, operational efficiency, inter-agency initiatives, capacity building, field mission support, and emergency preparedness and response.
Work Experience
Requires 3 years of relevant experience, including strong proficiency in fuel supply chain management. Experience with HSE/OSH standards for fuel handling, advanced Excel, ERP systems, or fuel tracking tools is essential. The ability to produce analytical reports and track KPIs is necessary. Knowledge of international organizations' logistics procedures is advantageous.
