Job Purpose
This role supports UNDP Tunisia's initiative to transform its working methods through the establishment of a central AI task force. The Volunteer will be integrated into this team, contributing to the deployment and integration of AI solutions to enhance operational efficiency, innovation, and digital transformation. The assignment aims to leverage AI and data analytics to improve productivity, anticipate crises, optimize resource utilization, and refine interventions, aligning with UNDP's strategic plan for greater efficiency and accountability in its operations.
Responsibilities
The UN Volunteer will contribute to deploying and integrating AI solutions to enhance the office's efficiency, innovation, and digital transformation. Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and deploying AI solutions: Design, test, and implement AI-based solutions, identify user needs, and support testing and continuous improvement.
- Automating processes: Implement and improve automated workflows using Microsoft 365 tools like Power Automate, document existing processes, and monitor automation functionality.
- Configuring AI agents and assistants: Set up and adapt conversational agents and virtual assistants using low-code/no-code platforms, conduct functional tests, and update knowledge bases.
- Driving digital innovation: Explore generative AI and other innovative technologies, research best practices, and support the development of prototypes.
- Supporting knowledge management: Prepare and update user guides and technical notes, document solutions and lessons learned, and contribute to knowledge sharing.
- Assisting users: Organize information sessions, provide first-level support for AI tools, and gather user feedback for improvements.
- Promoting responsible AI use: Raise awareness on responsible AI practices, ensure data protection, and monitor compliance with organizational guidelines.
Work Experience
Requires at least one month of professional experience, internship, or volunteering in AI, digital solutions, workflow automation, software development, or related fields. Practical experience with AI tools and workflow automation platforms is necessary. Familiarity with generative AI, Microsoft Copilot, Power Automate, and Microsoft 365 is highly desirable. Technical and analytical skills in solution development, testing, troubleshooting, and documentation are beneficial.
