Assistant(e) Logistique
Organizational Context
UNFPA Chad actively supports the government's Vision 2030 and five-year development plans, focusing on its strategic plans (2018-2029). The mission targets three transformative results: zero preventable maternal deaths, zero unmet family planning needs, and zero SGBV/harmful practices. This is achieved by providing reproductive health products and medical equipment to health facilities in seven provinces, including three humanitarian areas. UNFPA also supports women and adolescent empowerment projects.
Job Purpose
UNFPA is the UN's lead agency for promoting a world where every pregnancy is wanted, every childbirth is safe, and every young person's potential is fulfilled. Its 2026-2029 Strategic Plan aims to accelerate the International Conference on Population and Development (ICPD) Programme of Action and the Sustainable Development Goals by 2030. This mandate focuses on four interconnected results: ending unmet family planning needs, preventable maternal deaths, gender-based violence and harmful practices, and adapting to demographic changes with rights-based policies. The Logistics Assistant will support the effective management of UNFPA activities in population and development, reproductive health, and gender, particularly in SGBV prevention and response. This role contributes to project formulation, joint programming, resource mobilization, and national development frameworks through trend analysis and evaluation, ensuring results monitoring and procedural compliance.
