Job Purpose
The UNESCO Pakistan Education Sector seeks an Online Volunteer to support programme documentation, information organization, knowledge management, and communication activities. This role is crucial for maintaining organized programme records, assisting in reporting processes, and developing visibility products that showcase programme achievements. The assignment offers a valuable opportunity to gain practical experience in programme management, knowledge management, communication, and reporting within a UN agency, directly contributing to UNESCO's education mandate in Pakistan and supporting the achievement of Sustainable Development Goal 4: Quality Education.
Responsibilities
The Online Volunteer will support the organization, formatting, and consolidation of programme documentation, including reports, meeting records, concept notes, and progress updates. Responsibilities include maintaining structured digital filing systems for improved information accessibility and retrieval. The volunteer will assist in updating programme trackers and information management tools under staff guidance, and contribute to consolidating programme information and data for reporting and knowledge-sharing. A key duty involves preparing 1-2 knowledge and visibility products, such as briefs, newsletters, web stories, social media content, or case studies, aligned with UNESCO's mandate. Occasional participation in virtual meetings may also be required.
Work Experience
While specific work experience is not explicitly detailed, candidates are expected to be currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a graduate program. Demonstrated academic achievement, strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage information effectively are required.
