Job Purpose
The WFP Nepal Partnerships, Communication and Reporting unit seeks Online Volunteers to enhance its communication and advocacy strategy. The role involves supporting WFP Nepal's positioning as a leader in food security, nutrition, disaster response, and resilience building. Volunteers will contribute to increasing the organization's visibility by creating high-quality visual materials that adhere to WFP's branding guidelines and visual identity standards. This assignment is crucial for effectively communicating WFP's mission and impact in Nepal.
Responsibilities
Under the direct supervision of the Communication Associate, the Online Volunteers will support the design of visual assets for a thematic campaign and create approximately 8 social media graphics monthly for platforms like X, Facebook, and LinkedIn. They will also design 2-4 infographics, greeting cards, flyers, fact sheets, and data visualizations. A key responsibility is transforming technical content into visually appealing formats, ensuring consistency with WFP's branding guidelines. Volunteers will collaborate closely with the Communications Associate, providing final soft copies ready for online posting or printing, along with editable source files.
Work Experience
The role requires proven experience in graphic design, with a strong understanding of visual elements, layout, typography, and color principles. Experience in designing content for social media is essential. Familiarity with UN branding is considered an asset. Applicants are encouraged to share their portfolios.
Skills
Proficiency in creative design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite and Canva is required. Strong understanding of visual elements, layout, typography, and color principles is necessary.
