Junior Programme Support Associate (Youth for Impact)

Job Purpose
The Junior Programme Support Associate (Youth for Impact) will support the UNODC Tunisia office in implementing and monitoring its activities. This role involves assisting with activity planning, tracking progress, and compiling data for project monitoring. The associate will also support coordination with partners, including organizing meetings and preparing documentation. Administrative and operational support, such as document management and correspondence, will be required. Additionally, the position will contribute to the logistical organization of field activities and promote volunteerism and UN values within the office and through program initiatives, fostering youth engagement for peace and security.
Responsibilities
Under the direct supervision of the UNODC Tunisia Head of Office - Programme Manager, the Junior Programme Support Associate will provide support in activity implementation and monitoring. Key responsibilities include:
Activity Planning and Monitoring: Assist in preparing and updating activity schedules, deadlines, and work plans. Monitor activity progress, collect implementation information, and help compile and organize data for project results tracking. Identify monitoring needs and report relevant information to the team.
Coordination and Partner Communication: Support the organization of meetings, workshops, and coordination events with partners. Assist in preparing meeting documents and drafting minutes. Facilitate information exchange between UNODC, institutional partners, and stakeholders. Contribute to identifying and mobilizing local and community partners.
Administrative and Operational Support: Monitor ongoing activities, reporting any difficulties to the supervisor. Assist in organizing, filing, and archiving administrative and programmatic documents. Prepare correspondence, notes, reports, and other work documents. Consolidate and format information for office activities.
Field Activity Implementation Support: Participate in the logistical organization of missions, workshops, training, and program events. Prepare materials for field activities. Support the team in implementing and monitoring programmatic and technical activities. Collect feedback and best practices from beneficiaries and partners.
Office Contribution and Volunteerism: Participate in knowledge sharing, communication, and results valorization initiatives. Promote volunteerism, civic engagement, and cooperation. Undertake other related tasks assigned by the supervisor.
Work Experience
Requires at least one month to one year of national and/or international experience in volunteerism, community mobilization, civil society, or a similar sector. Experience in event organization is beneficial. Strong oral and written communication skills, report writing abilities, and proficiency in MS Office are essential. Cultural sensitivity, collaborative skills, and the ability to work effectively in a multicultural team are also important.
