Job Purpose
This role supports the WFP's mandate in the DRC, specifically within the school feeding program. The incumbent will assist national authorities in designing and implementing sustainable and integrated school feeding programs, leveraging WFP's extensive global experience. The position is crucial during a phase of operationalization following the validation of the national school feeding strategy, requiring enhanced technical support, stakeholder coordination, and rigorous monitoring. The role will contribute to the effective management of information and the achievement of program objectives, especially as WFP expands its activities under the new Country Strategic Plan (CSP).
Responsibilities
The Programme Assistant - School Feeding will support coordination efforts by organizing meetings and preparing minutes. They will be responsible for preparing various reports and data analyses, including resource utilization and performance metrics, ensuring deliverables meet institutional standards. The role involves liaising with internal counterparts to foster effective collaboration, implementation, and visibility of school feeding activities. Additionally, the assistant will ensure proper documentation and archiving of all school feeding-related activities, compiling contributions from situation reports, presentations, and briefing notes. A key duty is supporting the preparation of training materials on important school feeding program (SFP) themes, integrating cross-cutting issues.
Work Experience
A minimum of 1 month of required experience and 1 year of relevant experience is needed. Experience in supporting, reporting, monitoring, and evaluating development or relevant programs is essential. Experience within the UN system or another international development organization is desirable. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, data management, and strong reporting and documentation skills are necessary.
