Job Purpose
This role supports the final validation, refinement, and localization of learning assets for the Sustainable Energy Academy (SEA), a global digital learning platform by UNDP. The volunteer will refine one of the nine learning modules, ensuring its coherence, pedagogical integrity, and alignment with current sustainable energy discourse. The objective is to produce a polished module ready for public release, contributing to strengthening national capacities and fostering a global community of energy practitioners. The work involves restructuring content, enhancing clarity, validating case studies, and ensuring the module effectively links energy planning and policy to key development nexus areas.
Responsibilities
The volunteer will refine one of the nine modules of the Sustainable Energy Academy, comprising approximately 50 pages of structured content. This involves reviewing and restructuring content for logical progression and alignment with learning objectives, applying instructional design principles. Responsibilities include editing text for precision, concision, and consistency, ensuring alignment with UNDP narrative framing and analytical depth. The volunteer will refine key takeaways and framing from global discourse on sustainable energy, ensuring consistency with UNDP positioning. Additionally, case studies will be reviewed and validated for relevance, analytical linkage, and integration into the content flow. The final output will be a narratively coherent, pedagogically sound, and technically aligned module ready for platform integration and publication.
Work Experience
Required experience includes a strong understanding of energy systems and policy, excellent editorial, writing, and content review skills, and experience with e-learning, media, or digital content development. Experience working within the UN system or international development context is also beneficial. Fluency in English with strong communication skills is necessary.
