Organizational Context

The UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) mobilizes and coordinates humanitarian assistance for people in need worldwide. OCHA Venezuela is organizing a social media campaign to commemorate World Humanitarian Day 2026, aiming to highlight the work of humanitarian organizations and communities. This is an online, short-term, and unpaid volunteer opportunity.

Job Purpose

The purpose of this assignment is to create animated logos for World Humanitarian Day 2026 to be used in OCHA Venezuela's social media campaign. The volunteer will contribute to raising awareness about the work of humanitarian organizations and communities in Venezuela. This role offers the chance to develop animation skills, gain experience in visual communication for humanitarian efforts, and contribute to the UN's mission by supporting the visibility of humanitarian action in the country.

Responsibilities

Under the guidance of the Public Information Unit, the volunteer will be responsible for animating the World Humanitarian Day logo for use in communication materials such as social media videos and presentations. Key tasks include familiarizing with the event's graphic identity, creating two distinct logo animations, presenting initial concepts for feedback, and delivering final products. The volunteer will also have the opportunity to interact with OCHA's Public Information Unit and contribute to humanitarian action in Venezuela through their visual communication work.

Work Experience

At least one year of professional experience in post-production and animation. A strong portfolio demonstrating specific animation experience is required. Expertise in Adobe After Effects and Premiere is essential.

Expertise in Adobe After Effects and Premiere. Creativity, agility, and attention to detail. Ability to follow brand guidelines. Good oral and written communication skills. Capacity to work collaboratively in a virtual environment. Native Spanish language proficiency.
