Job Purpose
This role supports the career development component of the Frontier Tech Leaders (FTL) Programme, a joint initiative by UNDP ICPSD's SDG AI Lab and the UN Technology Bank for LDCs. The programme aims to bridge the digital divide and foster sustainable development by equipping a new generation of tech specialists with skills for Least Developed Countries (LDCs). The volunteer will contribute to strengthening local capacities and developing digital solutions for LDCs, ultimately envisioning a world where LDCs can effectively leverage frontier technologies to address development challenges and achieve the SDGs.
Responsibilities
The Online Volunteer will support the career development of young tech leaders within the Frontier Tech Leaders (FTL) Programme. Key duties include assisting with beneficiary engagement, disseminating career opportunities (jobs, internships), and coordinating virtual career support activities such as 1-on-1 CV and LinkedIn profile reviews, mock interviews, and career mentorship sessions. The volunteer will also provide administrative and logistical support to the Programme team and career development expert. Responsibilities include scheduling meetings, drafting communication materials for outreach and event organization, and disseminating opportunities through the FTL LinkedIn Community Network Group and other relevant channels.
Work Experience
