RIADIS is a regional network focused on the rights of persons with disabilities in Latin America and the Caribbean. It supports member organizations in monitoring rights implementation, sharing best practices, and strengthening advocacy. RIADIS also provides technical assistance for reporting to the UN and consolidating disability rights data. Its vision is a region free from discrimination against persons with disabilities, actively promoting youth participation.

Job Purpose

This assignment aims to create a formal RIADIS diploma to recognize the valuable contributions of young people with disabilities who participated in regional consultations. The volunteer will design a base diploma template and then produce 30 personalized versions, each featuring the individual participant's name. This initiative is part of RIADIS's institutional recognition efforts, acknowledging the time and expertise shared by these young individuals in documenting their priorities and strengthening youth engagement within the disability rights movement.

Responsibilities

The volunteer will be responsible for designing an official RIADIS diploma to acknowledge the participation of young people with disabilities in regional consultations. Key activities include creating a digital base design for the diploma, incorporating feedback from the RIADIS team to refine the design, and generating 30 individual versions of the diploma, each personalized with the participant's name. The role requires ensuring the final diplomas are visually appealing, formal, and suitable for institutional recognition.

Work Experience

Experience in basic graphic design using tools such as Canva, Illustrator, or Photoshop is required. Candidates should demonstrate the ability to create clean, formal visual pieces and possess knowledge of universal design principles applied to digital materials.

Proficiency in graphic design software (Canva, Illustrator, Photoshop or similar), ability to create clean and formal visual designs, knowledge of universal design for digital materials, understanding of accessible formats (e.g., tagged PDF, adequate contrast, legible fonts, alt-text), and strong attention to detail for personalization are essential.
