Job Purpose
This role supports UNDP Morocco's strategic partnership efforts, funded by Spain, to enhance collaboration with diverse stakeholders and advance national development priorities. The Partnership Specialist will contribute to strengthening and diversifying the partnership portfolio and strategic alliances, aiming to accelerate the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals. The position involves analyzing development data and policies, engaging with partners, and contributing to resource mobilization, all within UNDP's mandate and comparative advantage in Morocco.
Responsibilities
The Partnership Specialist will support the UNDP Resident Representative and Deputy Resident Representative in strategic partnership building and resource mobilization. Key duties include analyzing development data and policies, engaging with existing and potential partners, and contributing to reports, briefing notes, and presentations. The role involves gathering information, conducting policy research on sustainable development and international cooperation, and analyzing private sector due diligence processes. Additionally, the specialist will contribute to analytical products and visualizations. The position requires active participation in the CO Partnership Task Force and inter-agency working groups, mapping partnerships, supporting the drafting of proposals and agreements, and organizing events. The role also entails contributing to knowledge products, maintaining partnership databases, and identifying emerging partnership trends and innovative collaboration mechanisms.
Work Experience
While no specific prior experience is mandated, demonstrated interest or experience (up to two years) in partnership development, business development, or stakeholder engagement is desirable. Experience managing diverse partnerships across sectors, working with government, private sector, and civil society, and familiarity with the UN system or international development organizations are advantageous. Knowledge of Morocco's development landscape is also a plus.
