Job Purpose
The incumbent will provide comprehensive support in digital communications, web management, and internal information dissemination for the Health Policy and Systems Division (HRP/LHR). This role is crucial for ensuring compliance with WHO standards and enhancing the visibility of departmental outputs. The position involves developing and maintaining web content, managing social media and newsletters, creating internal communications, and monitoring digital platforms. The goal is to ensure effective and consistent communication of the department's work and achievements to relevant stakeholders.
Responsibilities
Develop, update, and maintain departmental web pages, ensuring content is current, well-formatted, and optimized for user experience. Propose improvements to website structure and usability, maintaining consistency with WHO web standards. Schedule and publish content on social media platforms and support the dissemination of newsletters. Prepare internal communications and conduct monthly analytics on digital platforms, providing reports with insights and recommendations. Maintain departmental SharePoint sites and manage the photo library. Perform basic graphic design tasks for flyers and presentations. Monitor departmental email inboxes, respond to inquiries, and process digital information with discretion. Review and edit technical documents for compliance with editorial standards. Utilize tracking tools to manage deadlines and coordinate with internal WHO teams and external partners. Provide support and guidance to colleagues on digital communication procedures.
Work Experience
A minimum of three years of relevant professional experience is required in areas such as information systems analysis, programming, systems administration, software development, or technical writing. Desirable experience includes working with Sitefinity, user interface/user experience design, content management systems, and proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop). Experience within WHO or another UN agency is considered an asset.
