Job Purpose
The ICT Associate will provide daily technical support to users of information management tools and technological infrastructure within the UN Women Regional Office in Panama City. This role is crucial for ensuring the effective management of ICT processes, supporting the agency's growth, and enhancing operational efficiency. The incumbent will also advise on the adoption of new technologies to improve productivity and promote a client-oriented service delivery approach, contributing to the achievement of UN Women's regional objectives.
Responsibilities
The ICT Associate will perform preventive and corrective maintenance on computer equipment, and install, configure, and update hardware and software. Responsibilities include diagnosing computer systems and equipment remotely or physically, and providing Level 1 technical support to users. The role involves updating the technology asset inventory, assisting with profile creation in the Trip system, and managing virtual space requests via the Services Desk. Additionally, the associate will manage ID creation requests for security purposes, periodically test telecommunication equipment functionality, create process flow diagrams, and handle warranty claims with technology providers.
Work Experience
Requires 1 month of experience, with 2 years of relevant experience preferred. Experience in network administration, software/hardware installation and usage, telecommunications, Windows applications, and Windows 10 is necessary. Experience with UN Women internal applications like GST, ServiceNow, Quantum, and the Portal is advantageous. Strong knowledge of PC operating systems, networks, Microsoft Windows, ICT security, and antivirus systems is required.
