Organizational Context
The United Nations Volunteers (UNV) in Colombia mobilizes knowledge, experience, and resources to advance peacebuilding, reconciliation, and human development. This assignment supports the Social Protection and Productive Inclusion area, aiming to ensure equitable access to quality basic services, reduce territorial inequalities, and promote social inclusion through inclusive and sustainable social protection systems.
Job Purpose
This UN Volunteer assignment contributes to the Social Protection and Productive Inclusion portfolio, focusing on ensuring equitable and effective access to quality basic services for the population. The role aims to reduce territorial inequalities and promote social inclusion by supporting programs for inclusion and the management of the social protection system. The volunteer will help build a more inclusive and sustainable system by providing crucial support in monitoring and coordinating grant agreements, managing knowledge, and ensuring timely and quality progress from partners, ultimately contributing to the overall objectives of the UNDP in Colombia.
Responsibilities
Provide support in the development and monitoring of Small Value Grant Agreements (ASBV), ensuring coordination with implementing partners and relevant stakeholders, including UN agencies. Contribute to knowledge management and information sharing within the program team. Ensure timely and quality progress from partners according to agreed templates and timelines, reviewing reports and providing feedback to UNDP and partners. Track financial records and expenditures related to ASBV activities. Collect information on ASBV implementation and provide input for substantive reporting. Identify and document best practices and lessons learned from ASBV interventions in Social Protection and Financial Inclusion. Perform any other required activities assigned by the supervisor.
Work Experience
Requires 2 years of experience in managing and reviewing financial information, data analysis and verification, administrative and financial monitoring, and technical support. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word) is essential. Experience with UNDP or other international development organizations is advantageous.
