Job Purpose
This assignment seeks to enhance the quality, clarity, and presentation of the WHO AFRO EPR Cluster's annual report. The UN Volunteer will consolidate and analyze data from multiple technical areas, translating complex information into a clear, cohesive, and impactful narrative. The role involves highlighting key results, challenges, and lessons learned, ensuring consistency with WHO reporting standards. The volunteer will collaborate closely with the Regional Emergency Director, technical teams, and Program Area Managers to gather inputs and integrate feedback. The final report will serve as a valuable reference for decision-making, partner engagement, and future strategic planning within the WHO AFRO region.
Responsibilities
The incumbent will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data from various programs within the Emergency Cluster to produce a structured annual report for the Emergency Director and WHO Regional Office Director. Key duties include reviewing quarterly reports and relevant documents, consolidating inputs from technical teams and Program Area Managers, and drafting the annual report. The volunteer will highlight key results, impact, challenges, and lessons learned, and support the coordination of reviews and feedback integration. Additionally, assistance will be provided with the report's layout, visuals, and formatting to align with WHO standards. Deliverables include a methodological note and outline, draft report, revised draft, and the final report ready for publication within a four-week timeframe.
Work Experience
A minimum of 5 years of experience is required in report drafting, data analysis, or business intelligence. Strong writing and analytical skills are essential for this role.
Skills
Required skills include strong writing and analytical abilities, proficiency in data analysis, and basic skills in data presentation and document formatting. Fluency in English is mandatory, with working knowledge of French or Portuguese being desirable.
