Job Purpose
This role supports AlterContacts' Virtual Side Event to the UN High-Level Political Forum 2026, titled "Closing the Skills Gap for the 2030 Agenda: Lessons from EU Transnational Partnerships." The event will highlight Erasmus+ projects as models for accelerating SDG progress through education and partnerships. The volunteer will contribute by acting as a rapporteur in breakout rooms, documenting discussions, and producing written records. This ensures that key insights, decisions, and recommendations from these crucial sessions are captured accurately and made available for follow-up actions, thereby supporting the event's overall objective of disseminating best practices and fostering collaboration.
Responsibilities
The Online Volunteer will support the Virtual Side Event to the High-Level Political Forum 2026 by serving as a rapporteur in one of the five breakout rooms. Responsibilities include preparing by familiarizing with the assigned case study, attending the virtual event, and actively listening to discussions. The volunteer will take detailed, organized notes, identify and capture key points, decisions, recommendations, and outcomes. Following the event, they will draft a clear, accurate, and neutral summary/report based on their notes and submit it to the AlterContacts team. Guidance and templates will be provided, but the content must be authentic, prohibiting the use of generative AI.
Work Experience
Required experience includes strong listening and concentration skills to follow fast-paced, complex discussions. Excellent written communication skills are essential for transforming notes into coherent documents. Impartiality is crucial for producing an official record. Experience working with Google Docs is also required.
