Social Media Promotion for a Virtual Side Event to HLPF 2026

Job Purpose
This role supports the social media promotion of a Virtual Side Event to the UN High-Level Political Forum 2026, hosted by AlterContacts. The event, titled "Closing the Skills Gap for the 2030 Agenda: Lessons from EU Transnational Partnerships," will highlight Erasmus+ projects as models for accelerating SDG progress. The volunteer will contribute to reaching a diverse audience, including youth, civil society, academia, and the private sector, by creating and disseminating engaging content across social media platforms. The aim is to maximize event visibility and participation, fostering a broader understanding of how education and partnerships drive sustainable development.
Responsibilities
Online Volunteers will support the social media promotion of AlterContacts' Virtual Side Event to the HLPF 2026. This involves creating and publishing a minimum of three posts before the event, one comment during the event, and one post after the event on platforms like LinkedIn, Facebook, and Instagram. Volunteers will craft content in English, Spanish, Italian, Croatian, or German, adapting provided visuals and guidance into their own words. They will use a unique hashtag for work evaluation and adhere to posting deadlines. Collaboration and idea exchange among volunteers are encouraged, with remote guidance provided by AlterContacts. The role requires individual work while contributing to a collective outreach effort.
Work Experience
No prior work experience is explicitly required. However, candidates should possess basic experience with social media platforms (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram), an understanding of promotion strategies, and the ability to create engaging content. Familiarity with online collaboration tools is also beneficial.
