Job Purpose
This role supports the project "Access to Justice as an Enabler of Development" by fostering initiatives that bridge gaps between diverse populations and the Colombian judicial system. The objective is to promote real, effective, and equal access to rights through a people-centered approach to justice. The position is transversal and strategic, facilitating articulation among justice system components and promoting human rights, restorative justice, territoriality, and differentiation. The value of this role lies in integrating policies, methodologies, and institutional capacities to enhance the State's response to justice needs across territories, contributing to SDG 16.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include identifying priority needs in justice, security, and coexistence for training processes, developing modules that leverage technology for access to justice. The role involves engaging with local authorities to understand specific challenges and identify areas for technical strengthening. Analysis of technical and technological instruments for justice digitalization, in coordination with national and local governments, is required. The position will lead consensus-building with national, territorial, and local authorities to strengthen the decennial justice access plan and ensure its adoption. Implementation of training processes aligned with identified needs, the 2030 Agenda, and national/territorial plans, using effective pedagogical approaches, is crucial. Support will be provided for building projects within the justice, security, and coexistence portfolio and offering legal support to partners. The role also includes contributing to UNV's mandate by promoting volunteerism and engaging in recommended activities such as knowledge sharing and reporting.
Work Experience
A minimum of seven years of professional experience is required in designing, implementing, or strengthening initiatives related to access to justice, institutional strengthening of the justice sector, public policy, and support for vulnerable populations. Experience in technical and strategic accompaniment to national and territorial entities, formulation of technical instruments, legal analysis, capacity building, inter-institutional coordination, and working in diverse territorial contexts is essential. Familiarity with gender, differential, territorial, and human rights approaches is also necessary.

A genuine commitment to the principles of volunteerism, encompassing solidarity, compassion, reciprocity, and autonomy, is essential.
