Job Purpose
This role supports the development and implementation of initiatives within the Justice, Security, and Coexistence portfolio, which aims to improve effective access to justice, strengthen citizen coexistence, and contribute to safe environments, particularly in territories affected by conflict and inequality. The project "Access to Justice as an Enabler of Development" is central to this agenda, promoting a people-centered approach to address structural gaps affecting vulnerable populations. The position provides technical, operational, and analytical support, assisting in project execution, monitoring justice access initiatives, and consolidating information for strategic decision-making. It also contributes to promoting differential, gender, and human rights approaches and coordinating with local actors and state institutions.
Responsibilities
Conduct legal and policy analysis to inform project implementation and decision-making. Provide technical and operational support for justice access and conflict resolution initiatives, including progress tracking and coordination with stakeholders. Draft legal opinions, reports, and technical documents, ensuring alignment with human rights, gender, and differential approaches. Support the design and delivery of training activities on alternative dispute resolution, justice access, and peaceful coexistence for public officials, community leaders, and social organizations. Collect, organize, and analyze information on justice access and coexistence issues, facilitating coordination with state entities, international cooperation, and civil society. Contribute to integrating human rights, gender, and intersectional approaches into project activities, proposing adjustments for equitable access to justice for vulnerable populations. Participate in documenting and systematizing territorial experiences in justice and coexistence, identifying best practices and lessons learned.
Work Experience
1 month of experience required. Experience between 0-2 years in legal matters, preferably related to access to justice, conflict resolution, administrative law, human rights, or work with public, private, or international cooperation entities. Experience in drafting legal documents, technical reports, or regulatory analysis is also required.
