Develop Mid-Year Impact & Learning Report for Girls’ Education Pilot Project
Organizational Context
Enabling Rural Opportunity Network (ERONet), formerly Agoro Community Development Association (ACDA), is a Ugandan community-based organization established in 2001. It serves vulnerable rural communities impacted by poverty and conflict, focusing on education, livelihoods, and social inclusion for women, girls, and youth. ERONet is currently implementing a pilot project to support girls' education and seeks to enhance its visibility and fundraising capabilities through professional reporting.
Job Purpose
This role supports ERONet's objective to strengthen its visibility, accountability, and fundraising readiness by professionally documenting the results and learning from the Agoro Girls Education Sponsorship Pilot Project. The volunteer will contribute to establishing a strong foundation for future donor engagement, organizational learning, and strategic communications. The mid-year report will highlight project progress and impact to a diverse audience, including local officials, partners, and donors, thereby enhancing ERONet's credibility as a grassroots organization.
Responsibilities
The Online Volunteer will develop a professional Mid-Year Impact & Learning Report for the Agoro Girls Education Sponsorship Pilot Project. This involves transforming project information, monitoring data, photos, and beneficiary stories into a compelling narrative. Key duties include reviewing project documents, structuring and drafting the report content to showcase achievements, challenges, and lessons learned. The volunteer will also support impact-focused sections, recommend visual presentation approaches like infographics and dashboards, and suggest ways to adapt the report for digital and social media platforms. Regular virtual meetings with ERONet staff for feedback are expected.
Work Experience
Experience in nonprofit impact reporting, annual reports, or donor communications is required. The volunteer should have experience translating project data into engaging reports and be able to present achievements professionally and evidence-based. Experience with infographic concepts or report layout is an advantage.
Skills
Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills are essential. The volunteer must be proficient in translating project data into accessible and engaging reports. Knowledge of monitoring, evaluation, accountability, and learning (MEAL) concepts is required. Experience with infographic concepts, report layout, or communications products is beneficial. Fluency in English is mandatory.
