Job Purpose
This assignment focuses on monitoring social conflictivity in Bolivia through content analysis on TikTok and Meta (Facebook, Instagram). The goal is to understand how narratives circulating on these platforms influence public perception and the social climate, particularly concerning governance and responses to economic policies. The volunteer will contribute analytical insights to inform timely decision-making and strategic planning by identifying emerging trends, risk narratives, and early warning signs of escalation in the digital space.
Responsibilities
The volunteer will systematically monitor public content on TikTok and Meta to identify and tag information related to socioeconomic conflict dynamics, governance processes, and economic adjustment contexts in Bolivia. Key activities include tracking narratives affecting public perception and social climate, identifying risk narratives, emerging actors, and early warning signals. The volunteer will monitor approximately 100 accounts over three months, focusing on political, institutional, territorial, and economic narratives. This involves detecting communication risks such as disinformation, hate speech, calls to violence, and institutional attacks, and tagging content based on predominant emotions, narrative type, actors, territoriality, virality, and content typology.
Work Experience
Required: Access to the internet and a digital device with active use of TikTok and Meta platforms. Desirable: Capacity for digital content analysis, understanding of labeling guidelines, basic knowledge of Bolivia's sociopolitical and economic context, ethical handling of public information, attention to detail, and ability to identify communication risks.
