Job Purpose
This role supports YPWC's mission to engage youth through social media by creating compelling content. The volunteer will contribute to raising awareness and promoting the organization's visibility and profile. By participating, volunteers will support Sustainable Development Goals related to hunger, education, gender equality, and decent work, while gaining insights into youth development. This assignment is part of a transition period, allowing new volunteers to learn from outgoing ones, ensuring continuity and best practices.
Responsibilities
The Online Volunteer will create social media content to enhance YPWC's visibility and profile. Key duties include developing engaging posts and content for various platforms such as Meta (Facebook, Instagram), LinkedIn, Bluesky, and X. Volunteers are expected to produce a minimum of eight social media posts per platform daily. This role requires strong writing, editing, and communication skills, along with experience in social media engagement and designing outreach tools. Familiarity with tools like Canva, short video creation, and WordPress is advantageous.
Work Experience
Experience in social media engagement is required. Candidates should possess good knowledge of online marketing tools and channels, excellent communication, and strong writing and editing skills. Experience in designing outreach or marketing tools is also beneficial. A strong interest in youth development is essential.
