The primary responsibility is to translate communication training materials from English to Brazilian Portuguese, ensuring linguistic accuracy, clarity, and natural phrasing. This includes translating presentations, facilitators' guides, and activity handouts to meet high-quality standards for UNV's capacity building initiatives. The role requires meticulous attention to detail to maintain consistency and accuracy across all translated documents. Additionally, the volunteer must be able to work independently, manage time effectively, and communicate any questions or require clarifications from the UNV team to ensure the final translated products are fit for purpose.
Work Experience
Experience in translation, either professional or volunteer, is essential. Previous experience translating materials for international organizations, NGOs, or academic institutions is desirable. The role requires high attention to detail and the ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
