Job Purpose
This assignment aims to engage communication and medicine students in a collaborative, six-week online workshop to produce a short awareness video on youth mental well-being. The workshop emphasizes ethical communication, interdisciplinary teamwork, visual storytelling, and the development of health-sensitive content. The ultimate goal is to create a 2.5 to 4-minute video that addresses youth mental well-being with clarity, sensitivity, and a constructive approach, fostering practical skills and interdisciplinary collaboration.
Responsibilities
Engage communication and medicine students in a collaborative, six-week online workshop focused on producing a short video about youth mental well-being. Strengthen participants' practical skills in ethical communication, interdisciplinary teamwork, visual storytelling, and health-sensitive content development. Guide students through the entire content production process, including issue framing, concept development, scenario writing, speech text preparation, filming, editing, rough-cut revisions, and final video delivery. Provide structured guidance and editorial feedback throughout the workshop. Ensure the final output is a 2.5 to 4-minute video that addresses youth mental well-being with clarity, sensitivity, and a constructive perspective.
Work Experience
Previous experience in video production, script writing, editing, or health communication is desirable but not mandatory. Applicants should demonstrate an interest in youth mental well-being or social impact communication, a willingness to work in interdisciplinary teams, motivation for a comprehensive production process, and sensitivity in addressing mental health topics.
