This role is within the WHO Sudan Country Office, supporting the SHARE project.
Job Purpose
The Technical and Reporting Volunteer will support the WHO Sudan Country Office by compiling, reviewing, and finalizing the biannual technical report for the SHARE project by the July 15, 2026 deadline. This involves collaborating with technical units to gather inputs and ensuring the report's accuracy and comprehensiveness. Additionally, the volunteer will assist the Programme Management Unit (PMU) Team Lead in developing and finalizing a funding proposal for a specific donor, coordinating with technical officers as needed to consolidate information and draft the proposal.
Responsibilities
Support the development of one funding proposal by collecting and consolidating technical inputs, drafting the proposal, and finalizing it under the guidance of the PMU Team Lead. Collaborate with the technical team to compile, review, and finalize one biannual technical report for the Sudan Health Assistance and Response to Emergencies (SHARE) project, ensuring it is comprehensive, accurate, and submitted by the July 15 deadline. This role requires excellent drafting, writing, and formulation skills for high-quality proposals and reports, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively within multicultural teams to meet tight deadlines.
Work Experience
A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in developing funding proposals and preparing technical or donor reports, preferably in the humanitarian or development sector. Prior experience with the United Nations or other international organizations is an asset. Demonstrated ability to collaborate within multicultural teams and work independently with minimal supervision is required.
Skills
Excellent drafting, writing, and formulation skills. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to produce high-quality funding proposals and technical reports. Demonstrated ability to collaborate within multicultural teams. Self-motivated and proactive with the ability to work independently and deliver quality outputs within tight deadlines. Fluency in English is required.
