Job Purpose
This role aims to enhance the 21st Century African Youth Movement's (AYM) capacity to attract donors, recruit volunteers, and engage stakeholders by designing and optimizing high-impact landing pages. The specialist will focus on improving how website visitors interact with fundraising campaigns, volunteer opportunities, and project initiatives. The goal is to increase donations, volunteer registrations, and overall engagement by creating clear, compelling, and action-oriented landing pages that effectively communicate AYM's mission, programs, and impact, ultimately strengthening support for youth empowerment and job creation initiatives across Africa.
Responsibilities
The Fundraising and Volunteer Landing Page Specialist will be responsible for reviewing and improving existing website pages to enhance donor engagement and volunteer recruitment. Key duties include designing and optimizing landing pages for fundraising campaigns and volunteer sign-ups, and creating project-specific pages that clearly articulate goals and impact. The role involves improving calls-to-action, page structure, and content flow to boost visitor engagement and conversion rates. The specialist will also develop landing pages for specific initiatives like youth employment programs and support campaign-specific pages. Collaboration with SEO, content, and advertising teams is essential to improve overall campaign performance, alongside providing recommendations for conversion optimization and integrating multimedia elements like videos and testimonials.
Work Experience
Required experience includes designing landing pages for fundraising, marketing, recruitment, or awareness campaigns, and improving website conversion rates and user engagement. Proficiency with Elementor or similar page-building tools, knowledge of conversion optimization principles, and the ability to create effective calls-to-action are essential. Experience with WordPress, digital marketing, SEO, and analytics is preferred.
Skills
Key skills include advanced landing page design and conversion optimization, intermediate to advanced proficiency in Elementor, and intermediate understanding of User Experience (UX) principles. Additional competencies involve fundraising communications and volunteer recruitment marketing. Strong communication, design skills, attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to work independently and meet deadlines are also crucial.
