Job Purpose
This UNV assignment supports the Social Protection and Productive Inclusion portfolio, which seeks to guarantee equitable access to quality basic services, reduce territorial inequalities, and promote social inclusion. The project focuses on programs for social protection system inclusion and management, emphasizing sustainable social, economic, and community inclusion pathways, particularly for diverse sexual orientations and gender identities (OSIGD). The psychosocial specialist will develop tailored methodologies to reduce structural barriers faced by vulnerable populations, consolidating efforts in the territory and contributing to a more inclusive and sustainable system.
Responsibilities
Provide technical support to territorial psychosocial professionals implementing the psychosocial route in prioritized areas. Offer specialized support for complex cases, including prejudice-based violence, gender-based violence (GBV), mental health, and institutional barriers, guiding appropriate route activation. Ensure intervention quality through direct observation or review of session samples using standardized checklists. Systematize quantitative and qualitative data from territories and generate interpretive analyses. Prepare periodic reports detailing progress, achievements, indicators, psychosocial alerts, comparative territorial analyses, and recommendations. Uphold ethical standards, confidentiality, and secure data treatment according to project guidelines. Report technically to UNDP on progress, quality, risks, and implemented improvements. Produce consolidated reports on findings, trends, challenges, and conclusions of the psychosocial component. Perform other duties within the functional profile as necessary for efficient office and organizational operation.
Work Experience
Requires 3 years of experience in designing and implementing psychosocial intervention programs in educational, social, or community settings. Experience in managing relationships with productive sectors, public/private entities, and educational institutions is needed. Prior work with vulnerable populations such as LGBTIQ+, the elderly, or families, with experience in gender, differential, or intersectional approaches, is essential. Strong interpersonal skills, cultural and social sensitivity, and collaborative work capacity are mandatory. Solid general IT knowledge, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word), is required.
