Job Purpose
This role will coordinate a Digital Growth Team of online volunteers to enhance AYM's online presence and support its mission of fostering youth employment in Africa. The coordinator will guide digital projects, facilitate team collaboration, and ensure alignment with AYM's strategic goals. This assignment offers a valuable opportunity to contribute to a growing international organization, strengthen systems for youth economic empowerment, expand outreach, improve stakeholder engagement, boost fundraising capacity, and ultimately support programs that create lasting opportunities for young people across the continent.
Responsibilities
The Digital Growth Team Coordinator will lead and organize a team of digital volunteers to strengthen AYM's online presence and support youth employment initiatives. Key duties include developing work plans, assigning tasks, monitoring project progress, and facilitating virtual team communication and collaboration. The coordinator will oversee website improvements using WordPress and Elementor, manage SEO and Google Ad Grant activities, and support the development of fundraising pages. Responsibilities also encompass coordinating volunteer recruitment and digital engagement, monitoring website performance, integrating the YouTube channel, preparing monthly progress reports, and identifying opportunities for digital growth. The role requires reporting to the AYM President and ensuring digital activities align with the organization's mission.
Work Experience
Required experience includes coordinating teams, projects, or volunteer groups; strong organizational and project management skills; ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities; effective written and verbal communication; and experience with remote teams. Understanding of digital marketing concepts (website management, SEO, online fundraising, social media) is essential. Experience with WordPress, Elementor, Google Ad Grants, Google Analytics, nonprofit fundraising, or volunteer management is preferred.
