Organizational Context

The Ibero-American Program for the Strengthening of South-South Cooperation (PIFCSS) is an intergovernmental initiative fostering South-South and Triangular Cooperation among 21 Ibero-American countries. Established in 2008, it promotes knowledge exchange and best practices through a horizontal model. Since February 2026, Uruguay hosts the PIFCSS Technical Unit and its presidency, committed to enhancing regional cooperation. The program operates under a 2024-2030 strategy focused on strengthening national systems, triangular cooperation, decentralized cooperation, and global positioning.

Job Purpose

The volunteer will support the "RizomaSur Virtual Cycles" initiative, a new virtual platform launched in June 2026 by PIFCSS to enhance learning and exchange in South-South Cooperation. This role involves creating systematization documents that capture and disseminate key content, reflections, and learnings from virtual sessions. These documents will complement audiovisual recordings, facilitating access to information and promoting the circulation of knowledge and experiences in South-South Cooperation and territorial development. The initiative aims to build a regional learning community, strengthen capacities, expand networks, and generate new cooperation opportunities.

Responsibilities

The volunteer will be responsible for systematizing the "RizomaSur Virtual Cycles" by producing documents that capture, organize, and disseminate key content, reflections, and learnings from each virtual session. These materials will serve as complements to audiovisual recordings, aiming to improve access to information and foster the exchange of knowledge and experiences in South-South Cooperation and territorial development. Key tasks include participating in or reviewing recordings of virtual sessions, identifying and recording main concepts and debates, elaborating clear and concise systematization documents, organizing information into agreed formats (executive summaries, key ideas, references), coordinating with the PIFCSS Technical Unit for review and validation, and incorporating necessary editorial adjustments for publication and dissemination.

Work Experience

Interest in South-South cooperation, territorial development, public policies, and experience exchange processes is required. Experience in writing outreach materials and knowledge products, with the ability to transform technical information into accessible content, is necessary. Familiarity with basic digital tools for collaborative work and document creation is needed. Experience with data visualization tools is a plus.

Skills

Key skills include strong listening, analytical, and synthesis capabilities. Excellent writing and information organization skills are essential. Proficiency in basic digital tools for collaboration and document creation is required. The ability to transform complex technical information into clear and accessible content is highly valued. Familiarity with data visualization tools is also appreciated. Native-level Spanish proficiency is mandatory.
